BLAIRSCOVE HOUSE – NÓRÍDE AND RAVI

When Nóríde and Ravi first got in touch with me about their Blairscove House wedding in Cork, I was so thrilled – they were planning the most relaxed wedding with a live band. Nóríde and Ravi seemed like the nicest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!

Getting ready

I began the morning at The River Lee Hotel, where the bride was getting ready, and it was really exciting because I had so much fun with them two at the Pre-Wedding in Dublin – see here. Nóríde wore Charlie Brear dress, and she looked so incredible.

The ceremony

The ceremony took place in the Honan Chapel, UCC in Cork. The ceremony area was really cosy, which was so gorgeous because it was such a gorgeous day. The ceremony began with a beautiful reading and finished with a dramatic first kiss. It was a wonderful ceremony, full of so much love and lots of laughter.

After the ceremony, we went down to the fields for the portrait photos, which was really chilled out. Then we went for couples portraits, which was so much fun. I got some beautiful couples photos in the field. The weather was fresh and sunny, which I loved.

The reception

The wedding reception took place Blairscove House, which is a Georgian House. It was wonderful.

It was a bright and sunny day, which was perfect. While the guests enjoyed canapes and cocktails, we wandered around the venue doing fun and creative portraits. My favourite photo from our couples session is the one out in the field right beside the venue.

A beautiful facebook review from the couple

Choosing Johnny as our photographer was one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding. From the moment we first met with him over coffee and saw samples of his work, a few things were crystal clear: (a) he was someone who really loved and cared about his work, (b) he was a relaxed and funny guy and (c) he was incredibly talented. He ticked all the boxes!

We’re so glad we did a pre-wedding shoot. I highly recommend it. We have some gorgeous photos of us from the place we fell in love. It also meant that on the wedding day when Johnny arrived, it felt like an old friend had just walked in and there was nothing to worry about.

Our wedding photos are more than we could have hoped for. We’ll treasure them for a lifetime and you can’t put a price on that gift. He captured some beautiful, natural moments and made us look better than we thought possible! So many friends and family have told us how great Johnny was and some thought he was an old friend of ours; a testament to Johnny’s relaxed, good-humoured nature.

I can’t recommend Johnny enough. He’s a kind, funny, talented guy who puts you at ease, captures moments beautifully and has the finished product to you in record time.

Thanks so much, Johnny for the stunning photos. You were such a special part of our day and we’ll be eternally grateful to you for everything.

WHAT'S THIS ELEPHANT AND ONE SHOE ARE ABOUT?

“Elephant Shoe” is a phrase I have always loved because when you lip read someone saying this you see “I love you” while it is unlikely that you would use the phrase “elephant shoe” in a real conversation it does highlight that sometimes things do get lost in translation.

Elephant Shoe is a cute fun way of saying “I love you” try it out today without using your voice!
