2020 is going to be a memorable year for so many reasons, this elopement shoot is one of the good ones. This American couple chose to elope in Ireland on St. Patrick’s day and as it was just before the Covid-19 lockdown they were able to get the ceremony they wanted. The elopement ceremony took place at Horn Head in Co. Donegal, a truly beautiful and wild location. The bride looked stunning in an awesome dress by the Reclamation on Etsy.

I love that couples chose Ireland as a destination for their weddings and am always happy to get out into the hills or countryside with them to help capture the wedding shots they really want. An elopement ceremony in Ireland can be a truly personal experience and it is my honour to share in it with these wonderful brave couples.

Here’s lovely feedback from Destiny and Mathew:

“I would 100% recommend Johnny Corcoran Photography to anybody and everybody looking to have an adventurous wedding or elope in Ireland! My husband and I were wanting to share our vows in an intimate setting on St. Patrick’s day, and Johnny truly went above and beyond in capturing this incredibly special day for us.

My husband and I are from the US and I had a lot of worries about travelling to Ireland, especially about not being able to meet with our photographer before our big day. However, Johnny put all of my worries at ease right off the bat; from the very beginning until delivery of our photographs, Johnny was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.

And, I cannot say enough about how talented Johnny is! He is able to capture the perfect lighting, the most gorgeous backdrops, and ensure you are positioned in the perfect spot — the pictures are jaw-dropping even before editing. Then, with Johnny’s keen eye and editing abilities, the final results are brilliant!

We have felt so blessed to have had the opportunity to work with Johnny! When we go back for our anniversary, we would love to have him photograph us again! All the pictures that he produces are absolutely stunning & you’ll have a hard time picking just one favourite. We will treasure these pictures for years to come.

From the bottom of both of our hearts, THANK YOU! ♡”

Irish Blessing

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

May God be with you and bless you;
May you see your children’s children.
May you be poor in misfortune,
Rich in blessings,
May you know nothing but happiness
From this day forward.

May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the warm rays of sun fall upon your home
And may the hand of a friend always be near.

May green be the grass you walk on,
May blue be the skies above you,
May pure be the joys that surround you,
May true be the hearts that love you.
